| Aloha from Hawaii! I found your book while writing my English masters thesis. I was raised a Hare Krsna, so I wrote how a person like you or me moves out of our strong group identity to find an individual identity through narrative. I found your book too late to include it in my project, but I relate to it on so many levels. Congratulations on your great accomplishment...finding yourself and publishing a really great book that describes all of the nuances and manipulation so well. Mahalo, Rasa |

Jayanti,
I LOVED your book! Like you, I am an English teacher (Lane Community College, Eugene, OR, and I spent twenty years as an Emissary of Divine Light. I'm also writing a memoir and find myself deeply instructed by your frankness.
I read a book once called The Thought Revolution about a Chinese man who lived deep inside of China. Like you, he "thought" his way to a new life by sheer moral force of character. That astonishes me; both in him and in you.

Dear Jayanti,
Thanks a lot for your book. I think, our own inner state depends on us ourselves. No Sri Chinmoy can enslave us without our own permission. This is basic principle to avoid any next cult oriented guru.
I am grateful to S.C. for all positive and negative experiences. I never forget his beautiful songs in Bengali, and deep, Om-sounding silence before his appearence on a scene. Let us be wise enough to be free. Only then love is possible.

Dear Jayanti,
I just finished reading of your website.
It was very fruiful for me. I have been Chinmoy Kumar Ghose´s disciple for 5 years from 2003 to 2008, working for him hardly in his company Madal Bal Czech republic. I participated on the World Harmony Run - specially in eastern and northern europe, I have been a bass player in Japaka orchestra.

| Jayanti - I think I heard about your book in the Star Ledger under books by NJ authors (I am a life-long Jersey resident.) I am involved in yoga and frequently visit an Ashram in upstate New York, so was very interested in your story. Congratulations on your well-written, insightful and entertaining documentation of your experience. So glad you emerged successfully on the other side. Hope you'll be writing more in the future. Best wishes... |

Dear Jayanti,
I just finished reading the book 'Cartwheels in a Sari' and my heart just breaks for you. You deserve all the happiness and security that this world can give you.
How very cruel for a Guru to banish a disciple forever with no contact. My Guru has promised to be with us for incarnations.
You are spreading more Light then a lot of self styled Gurus. Thankyou very very much for sharing your life with us.
