Wow, I just bought your audiobook. After listening to it for an hour I must admit it makes my eyes open to the Sri Chinmoy cult.

Jayanti, CONGRATULATIONS! Amazing book, great job! I have been in Sri Chinmoy cult almost 20 years. Your book gives me a lot of answers, how manipulations of mind can change a natural development of man, but the ever-free human spirit can never be conquered...
Good for all those who love true freedom and real joy above everything else! Take care and keep on working with your new book!!!
Viliam

Interestingly, I have just read your book while considering myself to leave this cult. What struck me most was the candor in which you told your story.

Jayanti recently I met a group follower of Sri Chinmoy and I confess I was delighted, yet today seeking more information, I came across some "scandals" involving this man. I wonder what you have to say about this man so enigmatic.

Cartwheels in a Sari spoke to me! I have experienced spiritual bullying and coming to terms with letting go of some people (and practices) that were ultimately not really helping me; Spiritually or otherwise. I am still working through trying to unravel my role in this, but as the years have passed, I am better. It is very complicated! Thanks for writing your book!

I have just finished your book. I admire the courage that you have to seek the life within you and honor it by living it. I am very happy that you will be teaching in Ocean County. You will be an asset to the community.

I just finished reading your book, "Cartwheels in a Sari". Quite entertaining...
I too was involved with a "discipleship-type" cult church back in 1981. I was never really brain-washed, being the wild, outspoken Yankee girl (I was 21 & raised a catholic). I simply "fell away".
I'm glad (and amazed) you didn't kill yourself when you wee at your lowest point.
I'm looking forward to you coming to OCC soon! |
