Jayanti,

I truly appreciate the most recent blog entries by you and Mala. I think they provide extremely important perspective on the experience and outlook of the young women CKG took advantage of. Thanks for your continued courage (and Mala's) in making sure that the truth is heard.

best,

Dave

Hi Jayanti,

In this ongoing debate over what kind of person (yes, person - not God) Chinmoy really was, you would do us another favor by adding another gallery of (perhaps otherwise censored) photos or even footage of CKG. Such material could further allow us to draw our own conclusions.

All the best and keep it up!

You need some major grammatical editing on your bio page. Apparently proper usage of commas is not high on your list of priorities.

You came to my class at Nassau community college and the story you told us was remarkable. i proceeded to tell all my friends and some of my family, i told them about your book(i hope that gives you some sales). I worte an email to Oprah like you asked lol. Your story was wonderful and i just wanted to thank you again for coming to us and sharing it with us.

Hi Jayanti. I loved your book. I was one of Atmananda's Stony Brook disciples - was a casual disciple for a few years (and learned to stay away from Crazy Fred) before going to grad school in Minneapolis. I was unaware of the goings-on at the time, but learned about them after I left.

I was especially appalled by the sex accusations, which I have no reason to think were untrue.

Thanks again for a great account!

Thank you for writing this book. My mother has joined a "way of life" group late in her life- she is following Yogi Satyam the "proclaimed leader" of his Kriya Yoga group. She is 78, gave up her worldly possessions and basically her family.Your book offers some insight into how the "leader" thinks and has the people follow him .It makes me sad the I have lost my mom to a cult.

After reading reviews of your book, I am avidly seeking a softcover copy of it. Having severe arthritis, they are easier to handle.

This is such an important book, and you must have great courage to write it. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Blessings.

Thank you again for attending Salvation Road and participating in the discussion. Your first-hand perspective on the immersive cult experience added real depth to the discussion. Thanks also for blogging about the experience. I'm really enjoying the book, and look forward to reading your upcoming novel, and your dramatic writing.
