| Congratulations!! What a great book. I just finished reading it about an hour ago, then went to your site and read through your entire blog. Your strength amazes me in many ways. I can't wait to pass the book on to my friends. Thank you. |

Jayanti,
I don't know how you managed to live in such a controlled environment and still think and write so clearly and eloquently. It's so difficult, if not impossible to break out of mental prisons. Good for you! So glad you left the cult.

| Am presently reading your superb book, and must confess what you recount sends chills up my spine, and angers me as well. Reading the obvious misrepresentation of Hindu teachings, the arch manipulation and exploitation of people this would be 'avatar' perpetrated upon others is truly sickening. Chinmoy, like Muktananda and others of their ilk clearly parasited off the neediness and vulnerability of folks who were sincere in their spiritual aspirations, if misguided.... |

Dear Jayanti, Bravo! just finished reading Cartwheels; couldn't put it down til finished;
i left the centre when you were still a young girl- in the mid 70's known as Santosh, worked the Smile with Swadhin and chased the Guru with thermoses. your memoir is authentic and brave and will help many...
Best wishes to you and your family..please extend my warm greatings to Samarpana george |

Jayanti, I just finished your book and loved it in so many ways. You told your story elegantly and kept me captivated all the way through it. I live about 2 miles from the Sri Chinmoy enclave and while I have been following my own guru for over thirty years, all the time I was always curious about what was happening over there. With your book you have given me valuable insights on life and entertained me at the same time. All I can say is thank you, thank you so very much!

I read your book - and was amazed at the power of one man. I'm happy life has come full circle and that you have a family and purpose of your own.
I really enjoy the book. |

| A really interesting book! Knowing nothing at all about SC, I once ate in a restaurant run by his group. I got a strange feeling from the whole place. It was kind of dreary and the food wasn't very good either! I read some literature about SC that they had on the tables, and decided he probably wasn't "the real thing." I didn't quite realize it was a cult though...very sad. I pray for the best for all his well-meaning disciples and ex-disciples. Oh, and I hope you get to go to India someday! |

Hi Jayanti
I'm looking forward to reading your book. I spent twelve years with Chinmoy, leaving the path in 1986. No regrets leaving. My life has been rich and full. I wish you well.
