Jayanti,
I bought a copy of your book to take on vacation, and I quite literally could not put it down. It is fascinating, so well written and thought provoking. I just may organize a book discussion group just so I can talk about it.
I hope we're able to meet next time we're in Madison. Thank you for sharing your story. I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends.

| I just looked up Sri Chinmoy on Wikipedia and was surprised to read about your memoir. I was a disciple (for a short time, late '90's) in Brisbane, Australia. I'm not sure how I'm going to get my hands on a copy but, I can't wait to read it. Thank you, I've been waiting for this! |

I started your book yesterday and was fascinated and impressed. I woke up at 3AM this morning and, in desperation, continued reading your book, hoping that I would sleep. Instead, I read until 8 AM -- each passing hour becoming more and more enthralled with your deeply moving story and your wonderful writing.
I have reflected on it all day, wondering why your book moved me so deeply. It is a magical book.
Best wishes, Chris |

Dear Jayanti,
I saw you giving your book reading and so wished to attend, but was taken up with schoolwork that had to be done. SO, I purchased your book, and could barely put it down all week! It was quite an eye-opener. My heart went out to you from the first lines.
I wish you much happiness. It must have taken courage to come back to our neighborhood.
THANKS for the candid, brave and totally open narration of your story.
Yours truly,
Evelyn Saphier |

As a friend, I was saddened by what I have learned about you in your book. Although I am so glad and happy that you have managed to somehow overcome all of the hardships not to mention excelling in all of your accomplishments ever since leaving the cult. The book was incredibly well written! Your students should be honored to have you as their professor. Can't wait to see you and Nadira on the 26th book reading. Again, my CONGRATULATIONS to YOU.
with love,
Andi |
