"East West Books has cow tailed..." You meant "kowtowing." Buy a dictionary. It’s not censorship for a bookstore to choose what books to carry. If a book's written in French & the publisher offers it to a Spanish-language-only store, the store will decline. Censorship? No. It's not preventing the book from being published. It's STILL a free country. A bookstore is free to do what it wants. YOU are supporting censorship by encouraging a boycott.

I want to thank you for your beautifully written book I received yesterday, having pre-ordered it in early December. I admire your courage to go public after having finally made a life for yourself;many from cults don't manage to heal. I congratulate you.

Your interview on NPR was absolutely riveting - I cannot wait to read your book! I am also deeply apalled at the behavior of East West Books. I will most certainly be calling and emailing them to voice my outrage, and I will encourage others to raise a stink.

My daughter, who is almost 5, was born when I was 42 years old. I'm so thankful I was able to get out of SC while I still had time to have the wonderful experience of true unconditional love... as you said, it comes magically with having a child.
